About the CCRC

About Us

The Cancer Care Research Centre (CCRC) was established in October 2003. Our aim is to carry out research which will improve cancer care services throughout the UK.

There is no other research centre in the UK which looks solely at cancer care from the patient's viewpoint. To do this successfully means putting patients at the centre of our work.

We are setting up patient and carer advisory groups throughout Scotland to make sure we are listening to the experts - you! In this way, we will find out which areas in cancer care need to be changed for the better. Importantly, we will also find out where cancer care services are working. You will also advise us on which research we should be doing.

About our research

The CCRC team come from a wide variety of backgrounds which means we have a great deal of expertise in different areas. So we can carry out research in new and exciting ways.
